What It’s All About

WELCOME TO THE PLETTEAU.

THE PLETTEAU is a place that some attempt to reach and never can. It’s like a summit, but less pointy. It sounds a little French, but it’s not. It’s a place where brevity meets circumlocution. Ultimately, it’s a blog about things we think are cool, interesting, funny, important, or otherwise worth reading.

MEET THE WRITERS:

James Plett

…is the editor and namesake of The Pletteau. Hailing from British Columbia, Canada, he holds a HBA in English Literature from SFU and spends his free time playing video games, reading, and writing.

Follow him on twitter at @jplett, where, on occasion, he posts something that is worth reading.

Get him by e-mail: me at jamesplett dot com.

Sarah Arboleda

…is the critically-acclaimed, award-winning student journalist of SFU’s The Peak, the bra-burning feminist blogger of Zelda Lily and the one-time contributor to Vancouver’s Arts and Culture magazine, Sad Mag.

She writes for her own blog, the cleverly named Tea Leaves and Dog Ears, where she writes about books and other things.

Recent endorsements from actual users of The Daily Pletteau:

“I ENDORSE THE PLETTEAU” – David R.

“THE PLETTEAU INCREASED MY WORK PRODUCTIVITY AND MY CAPACITY TO CONSUME GRAIN ALCOHOL BY 350%” – Adam N.

“AFTER READING THE PLETTEAU, MY FACE BECAUSE [ed. note: he might mean “became”] 34.5% MORE HANDSOME AND I IMMEDIATELY GREW THREE INCHES TALLER” – Dominic O.
